Sylvia is an experienced commercial arbitration and litigation practitioner who has acted in cases involving a variety of industries, with a particular focus on the financial services and resources sectors and multi-jurisdictional proceedings.
Sylvia has advised on and represented clients in arbitration proceedings conducted under the procedural rules of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) and United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL).
Prior to joining Lipman Karas, Sylvia was the regional director of the ICC Dispute Resolution Services. During her time with the ICC, she successfully led the negotiations for the ICC International Court of Arbitration’s establishment of a new office in the Shanghai Free Trade Zone.
Sylvia is a native English and Mandarin speaker.
